⚙️ Role Overview
Mayer is seeking a dedicated and experienced Journeyman Electrician (or Apprentice with relevant experience) to join our growing team. This position plays a key role in ensuring the quality, safety, and efficiency of our PV solar installations. The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, and takes pride in delivering exceptional workmanship that reflects Mayer Solar’s reputation for professionalism and customer-first service. You’ll work hands-on in the field performing solar electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance—while collaborating with a team committed to safety, integrity, and renewable energy excellence.
🧩 Key Responsibilities
- Lift and carry up to 60lbs
- Carry tools and equipment up and down a ladder
- Willing to learn the requirements and intricacies of PV solar installs
- Follow safety guidelines to insure 100% compliance at the job site
- Work in safety equipment – deemed necessary for your position
- Arrive on time to the job site
- A Vehicle will be provided after the training period
- Must be willing to travel 50% of the time
🧠 Required Skills & Experience
Prior experience with solar PV electrical work — such as wiring, conduit runs, or system commissioning
Strong understanding of electrical code, safety standards, and best practices
- Valid driver’s license
🚀 Preferred (Not Required)
Journeyman Electrical License (state-recognized)
OSHA 10 Certification or equivalent safety training
Experience reading and interpreting solar electrical plans and schematics
